Center Kita (North) in early September, 2014

(September 5, 2014)

Center Kita (north) is one of the main centers in Khohoku New Town, northern Yokohama. Here is a little bit of information regarding Khohoku New Town: its development began in the early 1980s; it is located about 12 km north of downtown Yokohama and 25 km west of downtown Tokyo; the population is around 180,000; the Yokohama city subway, operating on two separate lines, runs through the new town; there is the Yokohama History Museum.

Direct bus services link Center Kita and two international airports at Narita and Haneda.

The landmark of Center Kita, a Ferris wheel, can be seen from everywhere.
